Your team begins on the coastal shoreline at low tide, exploring mussel beds, tide pools, and the surrounding ocean ecosystem.
Under expert guidance, participants harvest mussels responsibly while learning about the science of the intertidal ecosystem and sustainability practices.
After foraging, the group gathers around a fire to prepare the catch and share a meal.
This hands-on work, combined with facilitated reflection, encourages collaboration, levels hierarchy, and strengthens team bonds.
By the end of the experience, participants have not only engaged in a unique outdoor adventure, they’ve stepped back from daily routines, refreshed their perspective, and left with shared memories that will carry into the culture of their teams.

Pricing starts at $225/pp. Additional options are available for an upscaled dining experience, wine pairings with local natural wines, and/or in-depth team building.
Different rates are available for not-for-profit educational organizations.

We forage together in Davenport CA, about an hour from Silicon Valley, and 1.5 hours from SF. Specific address and parking details will be given upon booking.

For the standard experience, expect to be on the coast for 3-4 hours. For a deep dive, which includes more in-depth structures team building and reflection, expect 5-6 hours.

Anywhere from 4-15 people per tour is great. More than that, and we can schedule successive days, or in infrequent cases, more than one group per day.

This experience is only available during the shellfish harvesting season, which is from November through March.
Within that window, Dates and start times vary depending on the tide. The truth is that the ocean is in charge! We will work together to find the best afternoon that fits both your team’s and Poseidon’s schedules.
